Experience America’s Great Plains awesome vistas, vast landscapes, and amazing heritage trails! Immerse into our past with Native American cultural experiences, cattle and oil industries, and learn more about how weather lights up the plains while visiting sites from the film, Twister!
Travel to Wichita. Meet step-on guides, Carol and Jonny Glessner. Jonny is a professional Storm Chaser and will relate many of his experiences and videos as we travel the plains!
5 pm Check into the Historical Drury Inn, downtown Wichita for a two-night stay. Enjoy complimentary drinks and snacks before departing to the Mid-America All Indian Museum for authentic dinner and entertainment.
6:30 Dinner featuring cultural cuisine including fry breads, and more, then enjoy singing and dancing by local Native American women dressed in tribal regalia!
8:30 Depart to view the Keeper of the Plains Statue, Wichita’s most photographed iconic attraction including lighting of the cauldrons at 9 pm. Return to the hotel for a good night’s rest!
6:30 Enjoy delicious large breakfast buffet at the Drury featuring eggs, potatoes, meats, sausage gravy, fruit, cereal, pastries, coffee, tea, juices, and more!
8:30 Depart with guides to visit Greensburg, Kansas, site of the first recorded EF5 Tornado. Jonny will relate events leading up to the infamous 2007 storm which destroyed over 95 percent of the town. Learn how Greensburg rose from the debris and tragedy to recover and rebuild as one of the first almost entirely green-friendly cities powered by solar and wind! Also visit the Big Well attraction and museum, featuring the largest hand-dug well in the US at 32 feet wide and 100 feet deep. Enjoy lunch included at the Soda Fountain.
1:00 Depart back to Wichita to visit Old Cow Town! Visit the fun and interactive replica Old West restored and recreated town frozen in time in the days of the famous Chisolm Cattle Trail era 1865-1880. Learn the story of how Wichita went from a frontier settlement, to a cow town, to an agricultural and manufacturing area. 54 historic sites on the Arkansas River bring to life this unique, educational, and fun site featuring costumed interpreters. Old Cow Town has been the location of many Hollywood Western movies as well!
5 pm Return back to the Drury to enjoy complimentary drinks and their famous Kick Back dinner event every evening from 5:30-7 pm. Enjoy a stroll along the Riverwalk parks nearby!
6:30-8 Breakfast. Put bags out for pick up by 7 am.
8:00 Depart with guides to Wakita, Kansas, used in the filming of Twister! Visit the quaint Twister museum, owned by storm chasers, and learn more about the filming of the movie along with lots of fun artifacts and props including the Dorothy weather instrument! Stop by the lot where Aunt Meg’s house stood, and of course see the famous Wakita water tower! *We will play the movie en route! Lunch on your own en route to Oklahoma City. Stop by the National Weather Center in Norman, located on the Campus of Oklahoma University. Also features memorabilia from the movie, Twister! Check into our hotel in the Bricktown District, famous for it’s numerous pubs and eateries! Enjoy dinner and exploring on your own tonight!

7:30 Bags out.
8:30 Depart for guided city tour of Oklahoma City, including a stop by Oklahoma City National Memorial featuring the booming event of 1995 Victims and Survivors. Visit The Parlor Dining Complex for lunch on own featuring numerous ethnic eating and drinking opportunities in a food court-style setting including awesome pizza, burgers, Italian, Asian Fusion, and more!
1:30 Depart to Tulsa.
3:00 Check into the fabulous Hard Rock Casino and Hotel for a three night stay. Enjoy spacious guest rooms in the Tower along with gaming at the huge casino featuring slots, table games, and 5 dining areas! A beautiful pool and patios, sports bar, and more, along with Rock memorabilia and photos make this an unforgettable and stunning experience!
5:30 Depart to Sycamore Arena for a fun evening of live arena events (TBA), Chuck Wagon included dinner, and dancing! 9 pm Depart back to the Hard Rock.
7 am Breakfast coupons included for the Route 66 Diner located in the casino featuring made to order hot breakfast from omelettes, pancakes, french toast, eggs over, and more!
9:30 Depart to the Will Rogers Memorial to learn more about one of America’s most beloved iconic radio and film entertainers. Rogers is buried on the grounds which include artifacts, memorabilia, photographs, and more showcasing his amazing life and career!
12:00 Depart to the D-Bar Cattle ranch for a delicious brisket lunch in the meadow before touring the 800 acre family owned and operated cattle ranch. Charles Dorsey purchased Akaushi bulls from a ranch in Texas in 2019 to increase the quality of their herd and raise Certified Akaushi Kobe Beef. The family is fulfilling their life long dream of selling beef to local consumers, and restaurants that support local ranchers and farmers from the Field to Fork Farm to Table concept which has changed the culture of how we eat! The Dorsey family believes you should never have to settle when it comes to your beef. D Bar Beef provides the experience of consuming ranch fresh beef directly from their ranch to your table! All of their cattle are born, raised, processed, and sold from their ranch! This is a truly an amazing small family owned and operated Oklahoma ranch dedicated to quality and consumer satisfaction. We will get up close and personal with the cattle on our tour of the pastures along with stories by the family!
3:30 Depart to the Route 66 Historic Park for a group photo opportunity. The longest portion of the Historic Highway passes through Oklahoma. Return back to the Hard Rock to enjoy a free evening of music, exploring the memorabilia and art, gaming, and dining on your own at the many delicious opportunities including the Eatery Buffet, Route 66 Diner, Food Court, Sports Bar, or Steak House.

8:30 Depart to Historic Bartlesville for guided tour of the town, learn more about the oil industry, see the site of the first oil well drilled in Oklahoma, and visit the Phillips 66 Museum.
12:00 Depart to Pawhuska, Osage country, and home of the Pioneer Woman, Ree Drummond! Ree is a blogger, food writer, photographer, and TV personality famous for her show on the Food Network, and for her delicious recipes and culinary empire! We will enjoy a delicious included lunch at the Mercantile (menu TBA) featuring some of Ree’s most iconic selections. Free time to enjoy the bakery and gift shop before heading out to the Drummond Ranch Lodge for a visit to their former home where the shows are filmed!
5pm Return to the Hard Rock for a farewell dinner with entertainment by the Cherokee Youth Choir performing in their native language!
7 am Bags out for pick up. Breakfast coupons for the Route 66 Diner. 9 am Depart to the Cherokee Nation Anna Mitchell Cultural and Welcome Center for short tour, rest stop, gift shop featuring art, jewelry, and more!
