Cuyahoga Valley Railroad

Enjoy a fun and educational scenic train ride aboard the Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad!  The ride will run through the Cuyahoga Valley National Park, only National Park in Ohio.  Choose between a ninety minute or fifty minute narrated ride.  We will include a guided city tour of either Akron or Cleveland along with a delicious meal at Papa Joes in the Valley or CROP in Ohio City.  Shopping options included along with other exciting attractions in the Cleveland/Akron area!

Bring your coolers and embark on a culinary delight at the awesome West Side Market in Ohio City, one of the most famous foodie districts in Cleveland!  The market is the oldest of its kind in the US featuring delicious meats, cheeses, fresh produce, delectable breads, pastries, candies, seafood, and so much more!  Enjoy free time in the famed neighborhood and stop by Penzey’s Spices, Campbell’s Popcorn, Mitchell’s Ice Cream, Great Lakes Brewing Company, along with many other awesome food and drink establishments!  Lunch will be included at Crop, located in a gorgeous restored bank building where the likes of John D. Rockefeller, Andrew Carnegie, and many other notables kept their money!

We will include a city tour showcasing some of the most famous sites in downtown Cleveland along with choosing other add on tours of the city including the famous Lakeview Cemetery with the Tiffany designed Wade Chapel, Garfield tomb and monument, and finish out the day with a treat from Little Italy!  Choose add on attractions such as the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Christmas Story House, Cleveland Museum of Art, or enjoy a lunch or dinner cruise aboard the Nautica Queen with awesome views of the skyline!  Westside Market open Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday.

Desert Inn

Our Canton Oasis begins with the intrigue and tales of presidential murder and scandals with a stop at a 40-year old Lebanese Restaurant, The Desert Inn.  Enjoy family style dining and be entertained by a sheik and belly dancer!  The tour continues with an organ concert performed beneath a Mediterranean sunset and stars at the historic Canton Palace Theatre, built in 1926.  The historic Kilgen Pipe Organ was originally used to accompany silent films!  You can easily imagine Rudolph Valentino lurking behind the stage curtains!

The Akron Oasis and Intrigue begins where three of the most powerful men in the world married Akron girls:  Rockefeller, Ford and Edison, and you will see where these unions took place!  Learn more about Al Capone’s Akron connections, tour the fabulous home of Goodyear Baron Frank Sieberling, and enjoy an organ concert beneath a Mediterranean sky at the Historic Akron Civic Theatre, built in 1929, fashioned after a Moorish castle.

We will showcase the life and times of our 25th President and enjoy visiting the McKinley Museum, Monument and Presidential Library.  Add in Dinner and Tour at the Warther Museum in Dover.  Features a candlelight dinner in the Ivory Room surrounded by priceless carvings!   Visit the last home front canteen from WWII , the Dennison Depot.  Learn how the quaint town became known as Dreams Ville, USA!  We will also include a visit to the new WWII Museum in Alliance, Ohio.

Get into the holiday spirit with a tour of the fabulousHower House Victorian Mansion.  Enjoy a delicious holiday feast at the Tangier Banquet Hall.  The historic restaurant has been an Akron landmark for three generations!   Deck the Halls at Stan Hwyet Mansion will delight you with a tour of the 65 room mansion, lighted grounds, and carriage house.  Features magnificent organ playing holiday music as well as holiday themes when the Sieberlings resided there.  Round out the experience with a stop at Donzelle’s Nursery and enjoy the trees, decorations, lights, ornaments and fabulous poinsettia room.
